Who we are

MAS was formed in 1974. We operate under Air Operator Certificate No 16 issued by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority. KCAA exercises oversight with an annual audit. Our pilots are instrument rated and undergo annual refresher training. Our aircraft are inspected by highly trained engineers to ensure our passengers enjoy consistently smooth and safe flights.
MAS is one of Kenya's oldest established airlines. We have a long history of operating small and medium size turbo-prop aircraft throughout East Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.
Our directors have served on the Moi Airport Airline Operator’s Committee‚ the Kenya Coast Tourist Association‚ the Kenya Tourism Federation and the Kenya Tourist Board.

Where we are

Our main base is Moi International Airport‚ Mombasa‚ and our coastal flights depart from Mombasa‚ Malindi and Diani Beach. Flights from Mombasa depart from the General Aviation Terminal‚ far from the noisy big jets‚ and our aircrafts are parked conveniently nearby.
Our Nairobi passenger lounge is situated at Wilson Airport Business Park‚ Block Charlie. After check-in‚ you will be driven to the Wilson Departure Lounge. All our offices are open during normal business hours. The Kenya Airports Authority provide all the required security checks.

Where we fly

MAS flies scheduled routes to the Masai Mara‚ Amboseli‚ Tsavo East and Tsavo West. In addition‚ MAS provides charter flights from Mombasa‚ Diani Beach‚ Malindi and Nairobi to and from anywhere in East Africa. Client testimonials

We take great pride in the many happy clients we have served over the years. Read what our clients are saying about their experiences.
My family thought I should not go on a flying trip in Africa. Seventy years is too old, they said. I have a walk stick but the plane and the Land Rover were very nice. No problem. And the Mara Explorer camp was lovely. The staff and the service was excellent. We saw many lions. My favourite was the warthog running with the tails up. The flight back to our coast hotel was a bit bumpy but everyone was asleep. I was the one awake.

I'm keen on photography and the first game drive by morning was amazing for the light. My driver knew when to stop and knew about the sun shadow and he gave me time. I stayed at Fig Tree. It’s mentioned as a standard camp but we had the hippo in the river and a nice fire place. I enjoyed my air safari. In the guest book I am writing I WILL BE BACK.

This was my third visit to Kenya and the Mara. I also landed at Amboseli with Mombasa Air and the pilots were really helpful with baggage and explaining the trip details. The lake at Amboseli was full of birds and the elephant herds seem to have gotten bigger. Its always dusty there but there was a rain shower and a rainbow in the dust. That was magic.
